Wheels Festival May 2014

Bournemouth Wheels Festival.

After Photographing the promo shots last year I was asked to cover Bournemouth's first Wheels festival and what a great weekend.

To anyone who loves old and new cars, dirt bikes and Monster trucks this was a (Boys Toys) dream come true.
so much variety and so many activities on offer it was hard to decide where to start.

The weather was off and on for the 3 packed days but this didn't stop thousands of people attending this excellent event.

And of course the FMX was amazing, especially the first ever pier jump on an MX.

I could go on, but well done to Bournemouth on this festival, its going to be a good contender to the Air fest.

Here's a few images from the weekend

Simon & Hayley at Mudeford

A sunny afternoon at Mudeford

On the hottest day of the year so far, Dave and I headed down with our bikes and laden with camera gear to the beautiful Mudeford beaches to spend an hour photographing Simon & Hayley before their wedding day in July.

We decided to use the sunlight to our advantage and photograph the Christchurch side of the harbour.

As we soon found out, Simon and Hayley are used to being in front of the camera which made for a truly relaxed walk around the bay.
Simon & Hayley were really easy to work with and we know that their wedding is going to be awesome, see you in July guys!

for now here's a few shots of the afternoon

Becky & Ben's Pre Shoot

Late afternoon at Studland

lewisandschofield.co.uk

So yesterday afternoon Dave and I headed down to our local beach to photograph Becky and Ben a few weeks before their big day.

A beautiful evening with the sun hanging low in the sky giving us that summer feel and the waves gently lapping the shore .. Studland is a magical place.

Becky & Ben were on top form as we wondered through the sand dunes battling the odd mosquito to get some great shots as the light drifted in and out of the clouds.

I kept with the 70-200mm and bagged the close shots as Dave went with the wide angle. (The beauty of shooting together means you have 2 differing angles) and of course its loads more fun.

We quickly found out how agile Ben is as he has this awesome knack of standing on his head, A true natural in front of the camera which is what we like best.

We shot for around the best part of two hours and bagged some lovely images. Becky & Ben were brilliant and we are really looking forward to their wedding at the magical Lulworth castle in a few weeks. we know its going to be fun.

So ill stop waffling on for now and leave you with a few shots from the evening

Rachel & Tom's Wedding

A Beautiful wedding at Sopley Mill

lewisandschofield.co.uk

A beautiful 18th century water mill and a fabulous bride and groom was the order of the day for today's April wedding.
unlike a fair few days this April the weather decided to abstain from the predictable April showers and play into the hands of Rachel & Tom to make it a day to remember.

Rachel started her day getting ready with family & friends at her parents house in Christchurch while Tom and his groomsmen resided at the local Inn.

After photographing Rachel's busy morning Dave and I headed off to the beautiful Sopley mill http://www.sopleymill.co.uk/ where the big day was to take place.

Rachel looked stunning in her wedding dress as she walked down the isle with her proud father to an awaiting groom (who stayed very calm throughout the ceremony) although he did have an enormous smile throughout.

shortly after the ceremony we decided to shoot the group shot from the front of the Mill, its a bit tight shooting from a sash window but we think it was worth it.

More family shots followed, then the speeches which were heartfelt and very humorous.  After the cutting of the cake and the first dance we headed outside to catch a few evening shots.

It was a privilege to photograph Rachel and Tom and wish them all the best in their future together.

So Here are a few images from the day
